Information Exchange Workshop - December 2006
Summary
The Information Exchange Network is for professionals in Surrey involved in providing disability
information. The guest speaker for the December meeting was Ginny Willis who lead a discussion
on the provision of information and advice to disabled young people in Surrey.
There was also the opportunity opportunity to try out the new version of DissBASE on the web, currently being beta tested, and to review the new Information Booklets being produced by SID as quick guides for advisors in Surrey.
Areas of concern which were identified for action included the need for a survey to establish the success rate of DLA applications (see Latest News above) and for a countywide information leaflet for disabled young people.
