Support SID - Legacies

Leaving a legacy in your will can make a vital difference to SID's work and ensure the work you wish to support continues. Legacies are free of inheritance tax, and can also help reduce amount of tax payable on your estate.

There are two main types of legacies:

To leave a legacy to charity, you simply need to include details of the donation in your will. This can be done by writing a will, by making an amendment or 'codicil' to an existing will or by setting up a Trust. The Charities Aid Foundation has useful advice on making a legacy. Your solicitor or professional adviser will be able to tell you more.

If you are considering leaving a legacy to SID and would like more information about the charity, please contact Karen Lucey on 0800 0439395 or via the enquiry form.

SID is very grateful to all its supporters, past and present, and will acknowledge legacies received in its publicity material.
