The African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) is an independent non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO) whose mission is to improve the health of disadvantaged people in Africa as a means for them to escape poverty and improve the quality of their lives. The PWI is a non religious, non political and non profit organisation which was set up in 2006. Run by a group of volunteers they aim to work towards a better life for Iranian women and their families. They are administered by a volunteer board of directors consisting of three memebrs elected at AGM's. Main aims - increase awareness of Farsi language and Iranian culture, encourage a healthy life style, create a cultural space for artisitc and creative exchange, esp. for children and young people and encourage youth participation to create a collective and social sense.

Talking book service for Asian visually impaired people, consisting of standard cassettes read in Hindi, Gujarati and Urdu which may be borrowed blind and partially sighted people and elderly people who have difficulty in reading. Members are referred to the Library by social services, who also pay for the service. New members receive a catalogue and then receive tapes in the post free of charge, which they return by post.

Established in 1980 in order to address the isolation of teachers of travellers and to support and encourage their work. NATT provides the national platform for teachers of travellers and other professionals involved in the education of Gypsy Roma Travellers to share good practice and promotes this through it's activities.
